A modern and thriving City

The Corporation’s much heralded deal with wi-fi ISP to bring internet access to the streets of the City hasn’t achieved much. Whenever I try and log-on, the signal strength is either weak or non-existent. If our neighbours in Islington can get free wi-fi access the whole way along Upper Street, then surely the world’s leading financial centre could do better?

One of the best things about the City is that it encompasses ancient traditions and magnificent old buildings alongside leading edge markets and spectacular new architecture. I am dedicated to preserving that balance and making the City as open and accessible as possible to City workers and visitors.
